It’s All About Perspective : Mantis

I love the little things in nature. Every time you put your eyes to the ground and wait, something stumbles into view. All you have to do is observe.

In this series I honour the little bugs as these massive moving machines, going about their business. The message is all about perspective and how important it is to be able to shift perspective in life. In art, we can make small animals appear large by sizing them up against objects we know to be large. This causes a dichotomy of thought which invites us to reconsider what we know to be true. In the same light, being able to shift your perspective is a life tool which allows you to overcome challenges and obstacles. Reframe your thoughts and you can reframe your reality.
