In the Beginning refers to a tale when Chameleon and baobab where the only creatures alive. They were given the task of recording history, after a time, they did not have anything to record (as it was just the two of them). Eventually chameleon climbed up into baobab’s branches and whispered to the heavens “What next”? “Strike Baobab” was the reply. Chameleon was so horrified he hid. When Baobab asked what the message was, chameleon told him. After a pause Baobab responded, “If that must be, so be it”. Chameleon struck a cleft in baobabs roots and all of life sprouted forth. And that was the beginning of History.
