Stable In The Storm

I love colour woodcuts… and chameleons! This is one of the first reduction colour woodcuts I’ve done in years. I’m working on a theme of animals providing their own support as they drift through space. Here I have a flap-necked chameleon who rests on his tail. It’s a  surreal image as in this reality, it could not exist. But somehow, somewhere a chameleon drifts in space completely unperturbed by the situation around him. “Stable In The Storm” simply reflects that even in tough times, you can be grounded and aligned and face the challenges head on.Colour Reduction Woodcut.
